The project aims to design and construct conductive metal-organic framework (MOF) electrodes for capacitive deionization (CDI) during brackish water desalination, especially for the capture of fluoride ions in brackish water. The research will focus on the molecular-level modulation of lanthanide-based conductive MOF electrodes, including the optimization of nanopore structure and surface functional properties, aiming to improve the selectivity and capture efficiency of fluoride ions.
